What is Dragon Tiger?
Dragon Tiger is a popular online casino game and is especially popular among the casino aficionados because of its simplicity, and the fast-paced nature of the game. In Dragon Tiger, there are two sides on the table – the Dragon side, and the Tiger side, and you place your bets on either the Dragon’s hand, the Tiger’s hand, or on the possibility of a tie.
Basic Rules
The rules of Dragon Tiger are simple. At JeetWin, the dealer deals one card to the Dragon’s side, and one card to the Tiger’s side. Cards are usually dealt from a 6 – deck or an 8 – deck shoe, and the first card while drawing is usually placed in a different shoe, to remove any possibility of predictable draws. The first card is always dealt to the Dragon side, and the second to the Tiger side. The bets must be placed on either the Dragon hand, the Tiger hand or on the possibility of a tie before the cards are dealt.
In Dragon Tiger, the value of an Ace is one. The value assigned to the Joker card is 11, a Queen is 12, and a King is 13. For either the Dragon hand or Tiger hand to win, the bet has to be on the hand whose value is the highest.
Game Terms
Dragon hand – The card that is dealt to the Dragon side.
Tiger hand – The card that is dealt to the Tiger side.
Tie – If the value of the Dragon’s hand is equal to the value of the Tiger’s hand, then it is considered a tie.
Placing Bets
Before the dealer deals the cards, you will hear, “Start betting”, upon which the participants place their bets on either the Dragon’s side, the Tiger’s side or on the possibility of a tie. The participants can choose the betting amount from the chips available, or input their betting amount. The betting period closes when the dealer says, “Stop betting. No betting in this game”. The dealer proceeds to place one card on the table, and immediately puts it into a shoe.
This is done to remove any possibility of a predictable draw. The dealer deals a card to the Dragon’s side with its face up, and then deals a card to the Tiger’s side. Once the cards are dealt, the losing bets are collected, and the dealer pays out the winnings. In case of a tie, when the participant either bets on a Dragon’s hand or a Tiger’s hand, the house takes 50% of every wager that has been placed.
