Lottoland, a leading name in the online lottery sector, has surpassed 20 million customers worldwide. Founded in 2013, the company has revolutionized the lottery market by offering instant access to massive jackpots and renowned global lottery draws.

Operating across 15 markets with a team of over 450 employees, Lottoland has experienced remarkable growth, adding 2.5 million new customers in the past year alone. The company hit 10 million customers in 2019 and has doubled that figure in just five years, underscoring its position as a dominant player in the iGaming industry.

In its 11th year of operation, Lottoland continues to lead through innovation. Recently, the company introduced KenoGO in Australia, featuring the world’s largest Keno jackpot. The product has been a standout success, achieving 15% month-on-month growth and awarding $100 million in customer winnings to date.

Additionally, Lottoland has filed a license application to enter Brazil’s federally regulated market. With strong year-on-year growth in Brazil, the company is well-positioned to expand its presence as it prepares to operate in the newly regulated environment.

Internally, Lottoland has embraced AI technology with the launch of Lopetto, its proprietary customer service chatbot. The AI solution has significantly enhanced operational efficiency, saving over 3,600 hours of customer service time and increasing customer retention by 27% in Germany, Austria, and Brazil.

Lottoland’s efforts extend beyond gaming, with a strong focus on environmental and social responsibility. The company launched Lottoland Cares in South Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic to support local communities, wildlife, and domestic animals. In Malta, it has renewed its partnership with Nature Trust, contributing to wildlife rescue efforts and the operation of a dedicated rehabilitation center.

On the sustainability front, Lottoland has committed to becoming net zero. In 2023, the company reported a 25-tonne reduction in carbon emissions and achieved Carbon Neutral certification for the third consecutive year.

Through continuous innovation, customer-centric initiatives, and meaningful contributions to sustainability, Lottoland reinforces its role as a global leader in the iGaming and lottery sectors.

Nigel Birrell, CEO of Lottoland, said on its recent achievements: “Since the very beginning, we have always strived to be a driving force in the gaming industry and navigate new ways of disrupting the market. Back in 2013, Lottoland was the first company in the sector to have established its own insurance model which allowed us to continuously offer something exciting for our customers, with new products and record-breaking jackpots.

“Now, I’m incredibly proud that the team is continuing to break the mould to this day, not only with our products but with developments in AI and automation that are vastly improving performance for our customer base and for our staff.”

On reaching the 20 million customer milestone Nigel added: “We’re thrilled to have over 20 million people now using Lottoland in 2024. This is a huge achievement for the worldwide Lottoland team, and I could not be prouder of them and their achievements in the past few years.

“To have doubled our customer base since 2019 is a fantastic accomplishment and it just goes to show that the time and effort that every person at Lottoland puts into its product offerings, customer service and brand recognition is worthwhile.

“We have lots of plans to keep innovating in the market and bringing exciting new things for our customers – all 20+ million of them.”
