Independent slots studio Thunderkick has been granted a B2B licence by the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden), reinforcing its presence in the Danish iGaming market.

Effective from January 1, 2024, the licence will allow Thunderkick to continue supplying its portfolio of games to operators in Denmark through to 2029. This milestone places Thunderkick among the first wave of suppliers to receive approval under Denmark’s newly introduced licensing framework.

This development underscores Thunderkick’s commitment to maintaining and expanding its footprint in key regulated markets across Europe. Known for its innovative and distinctive slot games, the Stockholm-based studio already operates in several major European jurisdictions. The licence further highlights its ambition to become a leading provider of premium iGaming content on its home continent.

With this approval, Thunderkick is well-positioned to strengthen its partnerships and support Danish operators with engaging, high-quality gaming experiences for years to come.

Wan Kim, Chief Compliance Officer at Thunderkick, said: “Thunderkick continually strives to amplify its position in Europe, partnering with leading operators across target markets to enhance brand visibility and increase our player base.

“Obtaining a B2B licence has been a focus since the Danish Gambling Authority announced the new regulations earlier this year, and our application’s success emphasises the quality of Thunderkick products and our unwavering commitment to adhering to consistently updating regulations.

“The licence will facilitate our continued growth in Denmark, where some of the country’s biggest operators offer our unique content to local players.”
