The schedule for the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) has been announced and will include 66 events with a guaranteed prize pool exceeding $40 million.

The event kicks off on September 7, 2014 and will run through September 28, 2014 with a $109 buy-in NLHE event and two $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em events including a Sunday Million special tournament with $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool.

The Main Event will come with a $5,200 buy-in and offer a prize pool of $10 million on September 28-29.

In related news, the WCOOP Challenge Series resulted in a big main event win this week.

The Challenge offered 9 events with reentries allowed in the main event. Six of the nine players that made it to the final table benefited from reentry.
