Monaco will be determined to get back to winning ways on Friday when they visit Lyon in Ligue 1. The visitors recorded a 1-1 draw at home against Lille last time out, a result which left them lying in 15th place in the table, with just four points out of their four opening games of the season. That surely isn’t the start that was expected from last season’s runners-up.

Lyon managed one win and three defeats so far this season and they are just below Monaco in the league table in 16th place. They have lost their last three matches though, so another defeat would most likely put quite a bit of pressure on manager Hubert Fournier.

Yoann Gourcuff and Samuel Umtiti are expected to remain unavailable for the home side, while Clement Grenier will also most likely miss out. Monaco have no fresh injury concerns.

Probable starting line-ups:

Lyon: Lopes – Jallet, Kone, Gonalons, Zeffane – Ferri, Tolisso, Mvuemba – N’Jie, Lacazette, Ghezzal

Monaco: Subasic – Fabinho, Raggi, Carvalho, Kurzawa – Moutinho, Toulalan, Kondogbia – Ferreira Carrasco, Berbatov, Germain

My prediction: Monaco to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Lyon win – 6/4
Draw – 21/10
Monaco win – 19/10
