Seth Davies Wins $100K Super High Roller Bowl, Climbing Back from 2 big blinds ($1.5M)

Seth Davies summarized his victory in a post-match interview:

“I had two big blinds. Not so much skill. I just got really lucky over and over again. Incredible result, obviously. It’s a PLO tournament. Craziness happens. We all saw it. I just won every hand for two hours. That’s what happened.”

Here’s how the event unfolded.

Final Day Chip Counts:

  1. Jared Bleznick – 145 bb
  2. Artem Maksimov – 102 bb
  3. Sean Winter – 72 bb
  4. Seth Davies – 62 bb

The “Endless 4-Max” Concludes with Jared Bleznick’s Exit

Last year, Jared Bleznick won this tournament and earned $1.29M (38 entries). However, this year, success eluded him.

During 4-max, Seth Davies was on the verge of elimination with just 2 big blinds when he placed a pot-sized bluff bet against Sean Winter.

However, after this hand, Winter doubled up twice, rejoining the game.

Jared Bleznick lost a huge hand to Artem Maksimov and subsequently gave his remaining chips to Seth Davies.

Sean Winter Finishes 3rd

In 3-max, the players evened out their stacks at 52 bb each. In his final hand, Sean Winter lost with a full house against Seth Davies’ four of a kind. It was a 3-bet pot. Winter bet all three streets, moving all-in on the river and leaving himself just 5K.

Artem Maksimov Takes 2nd Place

Seth Davies entered heads-up play with a 2-to-1 chip advantage. Maksimov tried to close the gap but couldn’t succeed. In the final hand, with an effective stack of 25 bb, Maksimov made a 3-bet pre-flop and jammed on the flop.

Seth Davies Wins His Second Super High Roller Bowl of the Year

In August, Seth Davies won the $300K Super High Roller Bowl NLHE for $3.2M. Only Justin Bonomo, Isaac Haxton, and Timothy Adams have managed to win two Super High Roller Bowls, with only Bonomo and Adams also claiming two victories in a single year.
