As part of the new #MakeIveyLaugh promo, people sent their videos, and Phil Ivey tried not to laugh. Every person who succeeds is receiving a Golden Passport to the $5,000,000 WPT Invitational Freeroll. Spoiler: making the owner of one of the most famous poker faces laugh turned out to be difficult, but a few people managed to do it (albeit seemingly by accident).
About Phil Ivey and WPT
Phil Ivey is a regular participant in the WPT series. He won his first and only $10K Championship Event at the 2008 L.A. Poker Classic ($1,596,100).
Phil Ivey became an ambassador for WPT Global in 2023. He also participated in filming commercials for the “$1 for $1 million” tournament on WPT Global. In one of the ads, he played the role of a call center worker.
About the $5,000,000 WPT Invitational Freeroll
The largest freeroll in poker history will take place from December 13 to 15, 2024, during the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. The final table will be broadcast live on December 15. The winner of this tournament will receive $1M, and 100 seats for the $10,400 WPT World Championship will be awarded. Approximately 2,000 players are expected to participate, with roughly 500 making it into the money. We have previously written more details about this tournament.
