Yggdrasil, a prominent iGaming publisher, has welcomed Barcelona-based studio Bitpunch into its growing roster of YGG Masters partners. This collaboration underscores Yggdrasil’s commitment to fostering innovation and delivering high-quality content to players in regulated markets worldwide.
As part of the YGG Masters program, Bitpunch will develop games designed to resonate with both seasoned slot enthusiasts and casual players. Operating under the Spinart umbrella, known for its affiliation with acclaimed studio Peter & Sons, Bitpunch aims to craft titles featuring compelling themes, captivating visuals, and inventive mechanics.
The studio’s debut game under the partnership, Killroad 66, is slated for release in January 2025. The title will immerse players in a high-octane adventure, following biker gangs as they race for riches across a vast desert landscape.
This partnership further enhances Yggdrasil’s already robust YGG Masters program, which empowers independent studios to leverage Yggdrasil’s technology and extensive distribution network. The initiative has produced some of Yggdrasil’s top-performing titles in recent years and offers partners access to the company’s proprietary Game Engagement Mechanics (GEMs), further elevating game design and player experience.
Bitpunch’s addition to the YGG Masters program reflects Yggdrasil’s ongoing dedication to broadening its diverse portfolio of third-party content while driving innovation and excellence in the iGaming industry.
Jose Simon, Commercial Director at Yggdrasil, said: “We are extremely excited to welcome Bitpunch into the YGG Masters family. We have great confidence that its talented team will deliver some top-quality content, starting with Killroad 66!
“This is the start of an exciting chapter for Yggdrasil as we focus on expanding our YGG Masters portfolio globally across all gaming verticals over the next year, and the addition of BitPunch is just the beginning of this process.”
Mitri Wiberg, CO-CEO at Bitpunch, said: “We are keen to follow in the footsteps of other hugely successful studios, such as Peter & Sons, who have thrived under the YGG Masters program. This is just the beginning of what promises to be a very exciting journey.”
