Pikkit, the popular bet-tracking app for sports bettors, has released its 2024 “Instant Replay,” offering a comprehensive analysis of betting trends and community performance over the past year. With more than 600,000 monthly active users, the platform tracked an unprecedented 323 million bets in 2024, reflecting a 48% increase compared to the previous year. The total tracked wagers surpassed $10.6 billion, marking a 77% year-on-year growth.
The NBA dominated as the most popular league among Pikkit users, accounting for 34% of all bets, followed by MLB (22%), NFL (19%), college basketball (6%), and NHL (5%). Parlays emerged as the most favored betting format, with Same Game Parlays (SGPs) driving substantial engagement.
- Parlays: 50% of all bets (over 160 million tracked)
- SGPs: 24% of all parlays (approximately 76 million tracked)
- Straight Bets: 45% of all bets (144 million tracked)
- Round Robins: 5% of all bets (18 million tracked)
Top players and teams also captured significant betting attention. Shohei Ohtani led MLB betting activity with 3.4 million bets, while Luka Doncic saw nearly 6 million bets in the NBA. CeeDee Lamb topped NFL players with 2.2 million bets, and Caitlin Clark was a standout in the WNBA, garnering over 1 million bets. Team-wise, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Celtics, and Kansas City Chiefs led their respective leagues with millions of bets tracked.
Among the standout moments of 2024 was the longest-odds parlay win, recorded at approximately 271,000 to 1 during the Genesis Scottish Open. However, bettors also narrowly missed significant payouts, with over 44 million parlays falling one leg short, representing $6.1 billion in unclaimed potential winnings.
In addition to community-wide insights, Pikkit provides personalized “Instant Replay” summaries for individual users. These custom reports detail each bettor’s activity, achievements, and highlights from the past year, offering a unique reflection of their 2024 betting performance.
The 2024 “Instant Replay” further underscores Pikkit’s role in reshaping how sports bettors analyze and engage with their activity, delivering data-driven insights and fostering community engagement across the growing iGaming landscape.
