Checkd Media, part of the award-winning Checkd Group, has achieved significant growth in organic performance, reporting a 157% year-over-year increase in conversions, attributed to a strategic focus on SEO. This transformation, recognized with the ‘Best Use of Search – Gaming (Large)’ award at the 2024 UK Search Awards, highlights Checkd’s success in driving results across its portfolio of brands, including Footy Accumulators, The Winners Enclosure, and FlashPicks.
Since the launch of its Organic Search team in late 2023, Checkd Media has transitioned to a data-driven SEO approach that has delivered remarkable outcomes. The conversion rate for Footy Accumulators surged from 1.14% to 2.94%, achieved through more qualified clickouts and partner bookmaker signups. Concurrently, average monthly organic users rose by 17% year-over-year, with over 150,000 unique users visiting Checkd’s websites monthly.
Key to this transformation was the hiring of George Webb as Head of SEO and James Dixon as Head of Digital PR, who spearheaded a new integrated strategy that combined SEO, Digital PR, and CRO. This approach focused on:

The campaign’s success was celebrated at the UK Search Awards, where Checkd Media was recognized in the highly competitive ‘Best Use of Search – Gaming (Large)’ category, previously won by industry leaders such as BoyleSports, SkyBet, and Betway.
