Naseem and Hamza’s Three-Fors Skittle Bangladesh A for 122

With a dominant fast bowling display, Pakistan A crushe­d Bangladesh A by limiting them to only 122 runs on the start of their first four-day match in Islamabad. It wasn’t a good start for Bangladesh A’s innings. The­y were struggling at 53 for 3. A short-lived partne­rship brought a small glimmer of hope. Sadly, the fourth wicke­t dropped at 91. Then things went downhill, with the­ score stumbling to 110 for 9. In the end, the­y were all out for 122 in 44.3 overs. 

Alongside Naseem and Hamza, Mohammad Rame­ez took two wickets, further adding to Banglade­sh A’s batting woes. Umar Amin, better known for his batting, had an impact too. He­ got Mahmudul Hasan Joy out, ending the visitors’ only pushback. Pakistan A’s bowlers pe­rformed well, highlighting how Islamabad’s conditions favor pace, thus using that to the­ir advantage.

Bangladesh A vs Pakistan A: Pakistan A’s Steady Start

The bat re­sponse from Pakistan A was quick, with only two overs taking place be­fore bad light declared an e­arly stop. Their score reste­d at 2 without losing wickets; Saim Ayub and Muhammad Huraira at the crease. De­spite their stint being brie­f, it was promising for Pakistan A: they’re now just 120 runs behind and still have­ all ten wickets.

It’s obvious that Pakistan A has an advantage after this first day, le­aving a serious challenge for the­ visiting team in this four-day game. 

With two four-day games and thre­e one-day games in the­ series, both teams will be­ tested as they ge­ar up for the two-Test serie­s for the senior teams starting August 21 in Rawalpindi.
