The stakes are rising. Jared Bleznick triumphed in a heads-up battle with a $100K buy-in. However, just like last time, Patrik Antonius raised the red flag after the final hand, signaling a rematch is on the horizon.
How Jared “The Backer” Bleznick Defeated Patrik Antonius Again
In the first match, Bleznick and Antonius faced off for three hours. Antonius held the lead for most of the time, with Bleznick trying to catch up. In the end, Bleznick secured the victory with two crucial hands late in the evening.
The second match played out differently. From the 15th minute, Bleznick took the lead and controlled the game winning small pots. The first big pot went to Bleznick early in the second hour. It was a limped pot.
- Flop: Bleznick check-calls $600.
- Turn: Bleznick bets $1.5K, Antonius raises to $7K, Bleznick calls.
- River: Bleznick bets the pot ($16.2K), Antonius calls.
Antonius attempted a comeback, but Bleznick continued winning hand after hand.
The chips kept flying back and forth. Antonius briefly closed the gap to $60K vs. $140K, but Bleznick proved unreachable that evening.
